This past Sunday, 47 players gathered at Jesse and James Comics in Phoenix, Arizona, to compete in Top Cut Gaming’s $1K Tournament. The event showcased the competitive Lorcana scene in Arizona, attracting many of the state’s top players. As the first large-scale tournament featuring the new Shimmering Skies set, the competition was fierce, with players eager to test the new cards and strategies.
SteelSong, the most represented deck of the day, surprisingly did not make it into the top 8, potentially signaling an early trend in the meta. Several new decks have emerged as viable contenders, though the full impact of Shimmering Skies on the meta remains to be seen.
New this tournament, Top Cut Gaming introduced a live streamed feature table and will be releasing a video compilation of highlight footage and analysis of top 8 deck lists. More details coming soon on where to find this content.
